This RV4 aircraft was custom built by Rick West of Sarnia. It won "Best in Show" a few years ago at Oshkosh. Also an L-16 owned by Mark Seibutus and a customized Paunee (Once a crop duster) owned by Ed Butler at his private strip. Gentlemen farmers have it all.
This sunken ship lies just off the beach at Canatara Park, Sarnia ON. I've sailed, swam and waterskied all over this area as a kid and never knew (or forgot) it was there. Originally a Great Lakes cargo carrier back in its day(late 1800's) it was purchased in Ohio and towed here in the early 1920's to act as a dock. It worked well for years until it caught fire and burned to the waterline. It's been there ever since. After hearing about it at the local barber shop I took my drone down to the beach one early morning in May. It was very calm. Using a circularly polarized lens filter the water seems to disappear and it showed an amazing amount of detail still resting on the bottom. This video is less dramatic than the real story of this boat I'm sure, but I thought it was erie. This is a popular spot for local divers too.
