Here is why VLOS (Visual Line of Sight) is a "no brainer" when you have the new Mavic 2 Enterprise with the search light. You will have to go full screen to see. This is only HD (1920x1080) but the differences are obvious. Sorry I should have done this on a tripod . . this was hand held . . but it makes my point anyway. These are worst conditions for STROBON or even the M2E Strobe. Dull sky with low/no contrast clouds but lots of light. A Mavic will disappear at around 12-1400 ft in these conditions without a strobe. You will notice even the M2E strobe disappears when you are moving away from home since the top of the aircraft is facing away.(might be different at night). The Phantom with black and white body and 2 strap on STROBON is also barely visible at 1400t. But the Enterprise with the search lights are instantly obvious and unmistakable as I turn them on and off at over 2500ft. This makes M2E easily visual at over a mile or more day or night. This is more than enough for any useful operation.
