Vehicle Tracking at Nearly a mile and Quarter Mile Zoom
The new Mavic 2 Enterprise comes with some significant new kit, like a Spotlight, Broadcast Speakers and a high intensity strobe light so you can see it at a distance. While it also boast a bit more zoom over it cousin the M2Zoom, I think its best feature is the steady gimble and pan functions when combined with x6 zoom capability . . Its VERY Stable. 2x Optical + 3x Digital. (that is one more than the 2x digital of the regular zoom) but the Mavic camera remains sooth and stable at 6 times zoom even while maneuvering. This was my first try and the old "stick and rudder" skills are pretty average I think.
All in all, the ability to smoothy track a moving subject at over a mile (given a clear view and average lighting) is pretty impressive. Take a look here as I slowly track using both pan and tilt as well as yaw to follow a single car for over a mile. . . all this while staying in a hover directly overhead at 400ft. You should put your controller antennae out horizontal for this.
NOTE: to do this smoothly you will need to "tune" your gimble buffer setting. I found a pretty good spot at 21%.
The second video shows the ability to zoom in on subjects ate over 1500ft (1/4Mile) and get some pretty good results. Up to 6 x zoom smoothly and effectively.
